About us
The St. Louis Chapter of The Explorers Club was founded in 1988 by Audrey Spafford Jung who also served as our first Chairman. Audrey, a cave explorer, was one of the first women admitted as a member of The Explorers Club. We became a Missouri not for profit corporation in 2004 as St. Louis Chapter of The Explorers Club, Inc. We constitute members of the Explorers Club – in our region and elsewhere – who affiliate with the chapter, and welcome chapter friends and guests who join our events throughout the year.
ST. LOUIS CHAPTER EXPLORATION AND FIELD RESEARCH GRANT
To support local chapter members in their field research endeavors anywhere around the world, this grant emphasizes building community partnerships, local capacity for continued research, and producing data that will make an impact.
This grant totals $3,000 USD.
